Full and Lovely Cosplay

Well, it's been en eventful week for us at Full and Lovely Cosplay.  Angelica found out she will be able to go to Youmacon!  The downside is that she has to have surgery tomorrow.  But a small price to pay to be able to go to a convention!  She will be cosplaying as Vexen and Saix from Kingdom Hearts, and possibly one more surprise that is yet to be made!  Emily is still making plans to cosplay as Ayu frm Kanon at Yulecon.

Well, Emily wants to go to Yulecon now!   Angelica still isn't sure if she can afford to go to Youmacon. But we both are still planning on Anime Central 2011.

Angelica is almost done with her Organization coat and is going to start on Trinity very soon now. She is thinking about cosplaying Karula from Utawarerumono, and Emily is also planning on Ayu from Kanon.

Well it seems like it's time to get this blog functional again.  We'll make an effort to update every week from here on out to keep the world updated on what we're working on.

Emily just got back from Anime Fest in Dallas, TX, where she wore her Archbishop costume for most of the con, and briefly her Tear costume.  She attended some interesting panels and learned some new techniques for prop making that should come in handy, and she can't wait to order some materials and start experimenting!

Angelica has been working on a new Organization XIII coat!  It should be done soon so expect some photos shortly, and maybe even a listing in our Web Store.

Next on Emily's cosplay list is Cheria, from Tales of Graces, but rather than get started on that costume right away, she is planning to finally get around to making a costume for her husband: Yuri from Tales of Vesperia!

It's only been a week this time! We're getting better at this.

Emily's progress on Archbishop is coming along nicely and Angelica is still working on Diva. She also made a bit of progress on Saix's claymore.

Almost a month since our last update *SHAME!!*

Emily made progress on her Archbishop. Angelica finished Saber Alter's dress and started on Diva's from Blood+. We're hoping we can get our hands on the supplies for Saber's armor so we can work on that.

I guess that's it for now. We're still waiting on responses for some commissions.

Well, once again, it's been a long time since we've updated this blog. Emily's last update was August 14 and Angelica's was July 18. *shame* We HAVE been busy, though. Let's see what's happened since then.

Emily finished Alice most of Aliot from Ragnarok Online. She made great progress on Aliot's claw-arms, but decided that they weren't pratical to wear to a convention. Angelica finished her Organization XIII coat and Vexen's Frozen Pride.

In October, Emily, Angelica, and Tady attending Kuzuricon in Battle Creek, Michigan. Angelica cosplayed as Vexen, Emily as Alice, and Tady as Aliza. It was its first year and greatly lacked in organization. Not much else to say about it. Next year, it will take place at the same time as Anime Fest, so we're not sure if we'll be going back. Emily, Chris, and Angelica also went to Youmacon in Detroit, Michigan. Angelica went as Vexen again, as well as Legretta from Tales of the Abyss. Emily and Chris didn't cosplay. Youmacon was a lot busier and enjoyable.

We have several current projects: Angelica is working on Saix's claymore from Kingdom Hearts, as well as Saber Alter from Fate/Unlimited Codes. Emily is working on an Archbishop from Ragnarok Online, and will start on Saber Lily from Fate/Unlimited Codes sometime. Tady may plan on making Saber from Fate/Stay Night.

Our next convention will hopefully be Anime Central in Chicago, Illinois. We need to get our finances together to afford the hotel ^_^;

Gah I keep forgetting about this blog!  It's not as if I haven't been working on anything, but it sure, actually we have been keeping really busy with commissions and so we've barely had time to work on our own projects, lol!  I can't complain though, we've been having a blast!

As for my own current project, of course I am working on Alice and Aliot from Ragnarok Online.  The only thing I have left to do for Alice is finishing her apron.  I really should do that and then I would have one more costume taken care of, lol.  After that I need to finish Aliot, which will require altering a shirt which I already have, making a vest, and then making the claw arms, whichI am both excited and nervous about, lol.

I guess I will try to make a point of writing in here at least once a week!  We'll see how long that lasts, lol.

Legretta is done. JAFAX is over. Fun times were had by all. Except for the guy next door to us in the hotel. Poor soul.

I'm currently working on two medieval outfits for the Silverleaf Ren Faire. (Notice how I abbreviate it because I don't know how to spell it.) Mine is almost done, and I just got the material for his today.

In addition, I'm working on my Organization XIII coat! Once it's all done and I've thought up a fair price, it'll go up in the store for order. I'm going to cosplay as Vexen because I love him and it seems like no one else does. So my progress:

Medieval dress: 95% complete

Knight outfit: 0%

Organization XIII coat: 65%

Wow, um. Yeah. I forgot about this blog, too. I don't even remember what my last post was about. But here's where I stand:

Legretta (from Tales of the Abyss): I would say about 45% done. Here's the breakdown:

Done: Shirt, guns.

Almost done: Coat, skirt, hair-horseshoe

Not done: Boots, gloves

And my next project? Someone from Organization XIII. I just really want that coat.

Wow, I forgot all about this blog!  I guess I need to start using it again.

We've been growing here at Full and Lovely Cosplay!  First we moved to our new site, here at http://www.fullandlovelycosplay.com, then we opened the Full and Lovely Cosplay Club at deviantArt!  It's a club just for plus-sized cosplayers and anyone who supports us!  We're just getting the club started but it's gradually starting to get members, and we'd love to have more.  We've got big plans for the club, including tips on looking good and feeling confident in your costume, posing for the camera, and much more!

On a different note, I'm nearly finished with my most recent costume, Eluluu from Utawarerumono!  It was a quick, simple costume, so it only took me about 12 hours or so at MOST.  I can't wait to put the finishing touchs on it on Monday, and do our photoshoot on Tuesday!  Look forward to seeing the new pics!

I also debuted my Asch and Tear costume pair at Anime Central just a few weeks ago.  They were a big hit!  I was so pleased - we could hardly walk through the dealer hall without being stopped every other booth for a picture!  We were going to enter them into the cosplay contest but just didn't have the time or energy since we were keeping so busy at the con.

Well, I'll make an effort to update more often, for sure.  I'll keep this blog updated about my progress on my next costume: Archbishop and Royal Guard from Ragnarok Online!
